More than 170 Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment have gained access to the closed database for searching for components of the Ministry of Defense, the “Components Library”.
This is reported by Delo.ua with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The “Components Library” is a digital database that aims to facilitate weapons production, primarily by establishing interaction between companies and component manufacturers.
First of all, it will be relevant for manufacturers of electronic warfare systems and drones, which will allow small startups to search for industrial partners.
How the service works:
The service operates as a secure digital product database of only proven Ukrainian component manufacturers and offers a choice of over 130 components manufactured in Ukraine.
The “Components Library” helps weapons manufacturers find the necessary components for UAVs and electronic warfare. It also allows suppliers to place their offers and receive orders.
“Thanks to this service, we reduce dependence on imports and expand the capabilities of weapons production in Ukraine. This reduces logistics, improves quality, and makes it possible to quickly modify or replace parts,” said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Gvozdiar.
Rules of operation for manufacturers:
- Authorization via “Action” and verification by a moderator. The manufacturer gains access to the system’s functionality only after accreditation at the “User” or “Supplier” level, or both at the same time.
- Product placement according to ready-made categories and specifications developed together with manufacturers.
- Secure exchange of contacts — only through a moderator, which prevents unauthorized collection of sensitive data.
The platform is not an intermediary in commercial transactions. Interaction between the seller and the buyer, as well as all financial transactions, take place directly between them, outside the site.
Recall that Ukraine is actively expanding the production of military technologies and launching grant programs to support developers. Priority areas are the production of explosives, drones with a high level of automation, and other technologies for defeating the enemy and logistics.
