The American naval forces, potentially alongside a global alliance, will accompany vessels via the Strait of Hormuz once it is militarily achievable, stated the US Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessant, during a conversation with Sky News.

“I think that the U.S. Navy, maybe in conjunction with a worldwide coalition, will convoy ships through the strait as soon as it becomes militarily possible,” Bessent declared.

As per his words, the ship escort strategy will be put into action after the United States achieves complete supremacy of the air and the capability of Iran to repair its missile systems is totally demolished.

This past Wednesday, the G7 nations – including the United States, Canada, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany and France – came to an agreement to contemplate arranging protection for vessels to guarantee unrestricted passage in the Persian Gulf.

Bessant also responded with an “absolutely not” when queried by Sky News about whether there existed a cost of conflict at which he could communicate to Donald Trump that engaging in war with Iran was no longer economically sensible.

It had been previously brought to light that functionaries within the Trump government approximated US expenses for the initial six days of battle to total at least $11.3 billion.

Simultaneously, crude oil values increased on Thursday following Iran intensifying incursions on oil and transportation installations situated in the Middle East, heightening worries regarding a drawn-out dispute and interruptions to provisions transported via the Strait of Hormuz.
