The US head of state expressed this during an interview on Fox News Radio. “We have no need for their [Ukraine’s] assistance regarding drone defense. Our knowledge of drones surpasses everyone else’s. In fact, we possess the world’s most advanced drones,” Trump asserted.
According to Axios, Trump conveyed during discussions with G7 leaders that Iran “will give in very soon .” This conversation transpired on Wednesday, and within a day, Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued his initial public address, pledging to persist in the conflict . Simultaneously, fellow leaders urged Trump to promptly bring the war to a close, stressing the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz swiftly. Responding, the US president noted enhancements in the strait’s situation, indicating commercial vessels should recommence operations in that zone. The same evening, at least a pair of tankers caught fire near the Iraqi coast.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had stated that, following a request from the United States, he had already dispatched a squad of air defense specialists along with drone interceptors to the Middle East, aiming to safeguard American military installations. He further mentioned that 11 nations—including Iran’s neighbors, European countries, and America—had already sought help from Kyiv in tackling the “shaheeds.”
