The Ukrainian and American teams are scheduled to converse in Miami this Saturday, January 17. During this assembly, the delegations will center their discussions on the preparation of preliminary agreements regarding security assurances for Ukraine. This information was communicated on January 16 by Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna, via her Facebook page.
According to her statement, Kyiv is maintaining active communication with Washington to establish a prospective security framework, in addition to the nation’s strategic and financial advancement over the long haul.
Stefanishyna clarified that the Ukrainian side will include Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Chief of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, and Leader of the “Servant of the People” parliamentary group in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia.
She also mentioned that Ukraine is collaborating with the United States on a pair of fundamental documents – a pact concerning security pledges and a foundational agreement on the country’s economic growth and rehabilitation, the total prospective scale of which could climb to $800 billion.
According to the ambassador’s words, the execution of these papers is not excluded during the World Economic Forum in Davos, which will run from January 19 through 23.
“The central objective of the visit is to finalize the efforts undertaken with the American representatives to ensure they optimally align with Ukraine’s interests,” Stefanishyna underscored.
It had also been previously indicated that Kyiv’s G7 partners intend to meet with US President Donald Trump during the World Economic Forum the following week.
