Limited harm, no injuries after Iranian attacks: US command’s assessment of Epic Fury’s initial day

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has made public the results from the initial day of Operation Epic Fury directed at Iran . The American military utilized “economical attack drones” for the very first time, CENTCOM expressed in an official statement.

According to Central Command, US and allied forces commenced engaging objectives at 1:15 a.m. Eastern Time (8:15 a.m. Kyiv time). The targets encompassed command and control centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iranian air defense resources, missile and UAV launch locations, along with military airfields.

Subsequent to the opening wave of US assaults, the command reported, CENTCOM forces successfully defended against numerous Iranian missile and drone incursions. There were no accounts of fatalities or battle injuries among US personnel. CENTCOM further mentioned that destruction from Iranian impacts on US installations was minimal and did not impede operational effectiveness.

“In the preliminary stages of the operation, precision-guided munitions were employed, launched from aerial, terrestrial, and maritime platforms. Furthermore, the CENTCOM Scorpion Strike Task Force pioneered the employment of low-cost, single-use drones in combat situations,” the announcement detailed.

The US President, Donald Trump, asserted that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had been killed . He conveyed that Khamenei “could not evade our intelligence assets and sophisticated tracking systems” and that the action was performed “in intimate coordination with Israel.” He further stated that additional leaders were taken out along with him. Nevertheless, there is currently no official corroboration of this data originating from Iran.
