Помпео: Путін «буквально нічим не поступився» на мирних переговорах щодо України

The erstwhile Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin “literally conceded nothing” in the dialogues aimed at ceasing the war in Ukraine, according to The Hill.

“The opponent here, Vladimir Putin, has, from what I observe, actually yielded nothing thus far. And although they indicate there’s 90 percent consensus, I doubt Vladimir Putin believes that the remaining 10 percent is something he’s willing to relinquish,” Pompeo remarked on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

“It concerns land. He also objects to European forces on his boundary. That’s part of the security assurances. I suspect that’s a problematic aspect for him,” he appended.

As a reminder, this past Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian and American mediators had achieved substantial advancement on a 20-point peace proposition during a gathering at President Trump’s abode in Florida.

“We deliberated all facets of the peace treaty… the 20-point peace strategy is 90 percent settled,” Zelensky articulated at a press briefing alongside the president.

When probed by a reporter about “the most challenging elements that remain unresolved,” Trump responded that the issue of territory was the paramount one.

“I believe the territory — that you’re referencing — some of that territory has been seized. Some of that territory might be up for grabs, but it could be seized in the coming months — and you’d better come to an agreement now,” Trump declared.

As a reminder, Trump also engaged in conversation with Vladimir Putin subsequent to his meeting with Zelensky.
