Over the past month, Ukrainian drones have hit more than 67,000 enemy targets, and the effectiveness of the Middle Strike program has increased by 25%.

This is reported by Delo.ua with reference to a message from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.

According to him, the main efforts of the Ukrainian troops were focused on deterring the enemy and inflicting maximum losses on him. The military had to stabilize the situation in the Lymanske, Dobropolske, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivske directions, apply active defense tactics, restore lost territories, cover cities from attacks, and strike deep into Russia.

In August, the transition to a corps-based command system was completed. Army corps gained authority and adopted the appropriate sets of troops and lines of responsibility. The reform is already demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness.

Syrsky added that August was a month of minimal territorial gains for the occupiers in recent times. In the Dobropil direction, they captured 13.5 sq. km, but lost 25.5 sq. km. In Pokrovsky, they captured 5 sq. km, but our troops returned 26 sq. km. In the Hulyaipil and Prydniprovsky directions, no territorial losses were allowed, and in the Northern Slobozhansky direction, another 4 sq. km were recaptured.

In total, the Defense Forces regained control over 58 sq. km of territory and liberated a number of settlements in August.

What is the Middle Strike program?

Middle Strike is a tactic or concept of using medium-range strike drones that operate at a distance of approximately 100–300 km from the front line, writes Euromaidan Press.

This approach serves as a communication link between short-range FPV drones (up to 25 km) and deep strikes (over 400 km).

One example of Middle Strike technology is the Ukrainian Bulava drone, which is already performing combat missions and demonstrating better results than the Russian Lancet.
