An informal summit of the leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States will take place at the end of December.
Sergei Lebedev, who holds the position of Secretary General of the CIS, shared this information with the media.
The Belarusian Telegraph Agency BELTA reports this.
Lebedev noted that a meeting of the CSTO heads of state will take place at the end of next month. The event will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan on November 28.
And at the end of December, a traditional informal meeting of the CIS heads of state will take place, BELTA quotes the CIS Secretary General as saying.
Event in Minsk
Today, October 30, a meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives of the CIS countries is taking place in the capital of Belarus.
Representatives of the Commonwealth states plan to summarize the results of the meetings, which were attended by representatives of foreign policy agencies and government leaders of the CIS countries.
Sergei Lebedev emphasized that the Commonwealth is pleased with how these events were conducted.
The activist noted that none of those who participated in the meetings expressed doubts about the need to preserve and develop the CIS.
