According to Delo.ua, the consequences of the Russian attack were reported by the General Director of Ukrposhta, Ihor Smilyansky, on August 30.

“After the last shelling, Ukrposhta branch No. 02098, which was located in Kyiv at 4A Shumskoho Street, is no more. An enemy missile completely destroyed it,” he said.

Despite the destruction, according to him, almost all the parcels survived and are now available for collection at another branch — No. 02152 at 13A Ivan Mykolaychuk Street.

Ukrposhta will contact each client separately to provide information about the shipment, and will also compensate for a small part of the parcels that were damaged during the shelling, Smilyansky emphasized.

He expressed gratitude to his team for the actions that allowed them to preserve mail as much as possible and resume work.

The search for a new location is ongoing, and the company is working to ensure that the move and opening of the branch takes place as soon as possible.
