Alexander Lukashenko addressed the Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Sergei Lebedev.
The occasion was the recipient's birthday, which the President of Belarus congratulated him on.
The congratulatory message emphasizes Lebedev's effective long-term leadership of “the largest integration association in the post-Soviet space.”

The head of the Belarusian state separately notes the birthday boy’s ability to “work with full dedication.”
It also points to his organizational talent, coupled with his focus on the final result, the President’s press service reports.
All of the above, according to Lukashenko, allowed the CIS to preserve “the best traditions of friendship, trust, and good-neighborliness between peoples.”
The Belarusian leader is convinced that Lebedev's wisdom, knowledge, and experience will enable him to continue to effectively implement new cooperation formats within the CIS.
