On October 8, the President of Belarus arrived in Moscow on a working visit. It is reported that Alexander Lukashenko will attend a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
The agenda of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS is already known.
During the summit, an exchange of views on cooperation within the CIS will take place, BELTA reports, citing the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
Summit program
It is planned to make a decision on the chairmanship of the Commonwealth in 2025, and to consider issues related to security and high technology, as well as trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
During the meeting, the top political leadership of the CIS countries plans to discuss and adopt an Address to the peoples of the countries
The Commonwealth and the world community in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The issue of the activities of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Member Nations in the context of strengthening integration cooperation will be considered.
It was also reported that the summit will announce the CIS cultural capitals, which will hold this title for the next three years.
Among other things, amendments will be adopted to a number of legal and security documents.
Statements by the heads of state of the CIS member states will be made.
The program of the working visit of the President of Belarus includes events within the framework of informal communication with the leaders of the CIS countries.
