The United States has urged the Russian Federation to withhold guidance data and further support from the Iranians. The nation is hopeful that the Russians will abstain from such actions.
This declaration was made by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, while addressing inquiries from journalists.
“I explicitly conveyed this,” he underscored.
This point was also addressed by US President Donald Trump.
“We aren’t certain, but the circumstances aren’t favorable. If they are, it doesn’t provide much benefit. Observing Iran’s recent activities, if they’re receiving data, it’s of little consequence to them,” Trump stated.
The American chief emphasized that any potential supplying of data constitutes interference in a dispute where the involved party lacks direct engagement.
“They might assert we’re targeting them, or not. Wouldn’t they voice such claims? We’re challenging them,” Trump continued.
He further suggests that the Russians are free to share whatever information they desire, yet the recipients of that information are overwhelmed.
“Russia could also be overwhelmed. Anyone could be overwhelmed. We possess the world’s paramount military strength. And I developed it during my initial term, and unfortunately, I must now deploy it,” Donald Trump concluded.
Previously, media reports indicated that Russia was furnishing Iran with intelligence concerning the whereabouts of US military installations in the Middle East. This encompassed coordinates of US naval vessels and aircraft, possibly aiding Tehran in planning more precise attacks. According to US authorities, this data might have been utilized in assaults on US assets within the region. The White House did not officially confirm this information but indicated it was factoring in Moscow’s conduct when devising its plans.
