Two firms incorporated in Ukraine have faced US penalties for assisting Iran's creation of ballistic rockets and unmanned aerial systems.

This was stated on the US Department of the Treasury's internet page.

“Globally, Iran leverages financial infrastructures to wash funds, acquire parts for its atomic and standard weapons programs, and back its terrorist agents,” noted John K. Gurley, U.S. Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.

A total of 32 persons and legal entities were penalized, including businesses from Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, India, Germany, and Ukraine.

From the details disclosed by the US Treasury Department, it appears that American sanctions have been put into effect against LLC “GC Imperative Ukraine” and LLC “Ecofera”.

“Iranian procurement intermediary Bahram Tabibi employed his Ukrainian shell businesses GK Imperativ Ukraina LLC and Ekofera LLC to obtain and deliver aerospace materials, including attitude indicators and magnetometers,” the report specified.

The aforementioned items were provided to the Iranian state-owned enterprise Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Corporation (HESA), which manufactures Iranian military aeroplanes and Ababil series UAVs.

The scheme involved Iranian national Batul Shafiei, who dispatched payments to Ukrainian companies and additionally managed the distribution of Ecofera goods to Iran.

Another Iranian, Saeed Pahlavani Nejad, served as a go-between for Ukrainian dummy businesses and HESA, facilitating the sale of generator parts, engines, orientation devices, sensors, and other equipment to HESA.

It is understood from public sources that LLC “GC Imperative Ukraine” is registered in Kharkiv, and its primary business is wholesale of household goods.

As a reminder, following discussions with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the self-declared President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, voiced his eagerness to cultivate collaboration with this nation, specifically in the military domain.
