  • baking powder 1 tsp

  • flour

Preparation

  1. Combine water and sugar in the saucepan.

  2. Bring to a simmer, lower the temperature, and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.

  3. Incorporate the lemon juice and allow cooling. The syrup should be lukewarm, but not scalding, upon adding it to the ready-made sweets.

  4. Blend butter, oil, egg, and vinegar.

  5. Blend in semolina and baking powder.

  6. Little by little, add flour until the dough achieves a pliable consistency and doesn’t adhere to your hands.

  7. Stir in chopped nuts.

  8. Subsequently, create walnut-sized portions of dough, coat them in egg white, and then in roasted kadayif.

  9. Bake in an oven heated to 180°C until acquiring a golden hue.

  10. Extract it, allow 1–2 minutes to elapse, and gradually drizzle the warm syrup.

  11. Allow it to soak for a minimum of 2 hours, after which the dessert will unveil its complete taste profile.
