The US President, Donald Trump, has asserted substantial achievements in the conflict with Iran, highlighting that a significant portion of Tehran’s naval power was eliminated in a matter of days.

He conveyed this information during the award ceremony for the Commander-in-Chief’s Cup, presented to the US Naval Academy’s cadet football team, which was aired on CNBC.

“The variance between them [Iran] and us [the United States] is that a couple of weeks prior, they possessed a fleet. Now, they no longer have one,” Trump declared.

As per his account, 58 vessels belonging to the Iranian navy were obliterated within two days, leaving them all “at the bottom of the sea.”

“And we maintain the world’s largest navy,” the American president proudly stated.

Donald Trump reaffirmed that the objective of Washington’s military endeavor in the Middle East is still to hinder Iran from acquiring nuclear arms.

“We will not permit them to possess nuclear weapons, because if they did, they would employ them,” he stated, echoing a justification for the war that detractors argue is unsupported by evidence.

Simultaneously, the US president suggested that his predecessors should have addressed this issue, preventing Tehran from obtaining atomic weaponry.
