This declaration was made by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to CNN reports.
“Any endeavor to institute a naval closure goes against international regulations and the welfare of regional nations, as well as worldwide peace and steadiness, and is also destined for failure,” he asserted.
According to Pezeshkian, this seaway is “a symbol of the fortitude of the great Iranian nation.”
Separately, Mohsen Rezaei, a top military advisor to Iran’s supreme leader, also cautioned about taking countermeasures if the US persists with its maritime blockade.
“If the embargo persists, Iran will retaliate,” he stated.
