President Trump has reiterated his warnings to engage Iran if a peaceful agreement isn’t achieved, while Tehran asserts that any renewal of conflict would extend beyond the boundaries of the Middle East.

Reuters is reporting this information.

“We are nearing the conclusion regarding Iran. We shall observe the outcome. We will either reach an accord, or we will be compelled to implement measures that could be deemed slightly unfavorable; however, it is our hope that this scenario will be averted,” he conveyed to members of the press.

Simultaneously, the American leader appeared to temper, to some degree, his intimidating statements toward Iran.

“Ideally, I’d prefer to see a minimal number of casualties… It might become necessary to strike them with considerable force… though, perhaps not,” he expressed.

Conversely, Tehran has accused Trump of harboring intentions to reignite hostilities, and has threatened to retaliate against any incursions with strikes originating outside of the Middle East region.

“Should any acts of aggression against Iran recur, the theater of war will, on this occasion, expand beyond the immediate region,” declared the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in their published statement.

Parliamentary leader Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Iran’s key negotiator, mentioned in a voice recording circulating on social media that “the overt and clandestine activities of the adversary” imply the Americans are orchestrating forthcoming offensives.

Earlier this week, Trump revealed he was on the verge of authorizing new assaults but held back to allow additional time for talks.

As a reminder, the American chief executive previously set a final date for Iran to finalize negotiations.
