In the northern locality of Skardu, another 11 individuals were killed during the disturbances when a crowd ignited a UN facility. An additional two individuals were killed in Islamabad.
Law enforcement indicated that a minimum of 34 individuals sustained injuries. Hospitals in Karachi reported that all deceased and wounded individuals suffered gunshot wounds. The Sindh provincial administration has mandated an inquiry into the episode.
In Karachi, protesters vocalized anti-American and anti-Israeli sentiments outside the diplomatic establishment. A vehicle was set ablaze, and clashes with police were documented. A local authority stated that the consulate’s personnel were secure and maintained continuous communication.
Parallel demonstrations transpired in Iraq. In Baghdad, hundreds of pro-Iranian demonstrators attempted to force entry into the diplomatic zone, which houses the US embassy. Police employed tear gas and stun grenades to disperse the gathering.
Concurrently, in a selection of European metropolises, encompassing Paris, segments of the Iranian diaspora congregated in the streets to commemorate the demise of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. Participants brandished flags representing the pre-revolutionary Iranian monarchy and engaged in festivities.
