Turkey expresses its willingness to aid straightforward discussions between Ukraine and the belligerent Russia. Specifically, a summit involving top officials, pending the consent of both Kyiv and Moscow.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan communicated this during the 5th Antalya Diplomatic Forum, according to Interfax reports.

“We continue to hold the belief that the conflict will conclude through a process of dialogue ensuring fair and equitable representation for each side. I wish to earnestly declare that Turkey remains willing to endorse every measure conducive to the ongoing progression of direct negotiations. Particularly, a gathering involving high-ranking authorities, given the parties’ desire,” he conveyed.

It’s worth mentioning that earlier, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga verified Kyiv’s openness to a conference featuring the leaders of Ukraine and Russia, potentially including the President of Turkey and the United States. The Ukrainian diplomat highlighted that Ankara possesses “distinctive diplomatic expertise and broad international sway.”

For informational purposes, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga also declared that President Volodymyr Zelensky is disposed to engage with “Führer” Vladimir Putin. As per his account, Kyiv stands prepared to convene a leaders’ session in Turkey, possibly with the involvement of Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump.
