The Trump government is nearer to a substantial military engagement in the Middle East than many US citizens understand, and it could commence imminently.

Axios conveys this information, referencing its own informants.

The sources of the news outlet indicated that a US military action in Iran is anticipated to be a broad campaign lasting several weeks, resembling a full-fledged armed conflict more than the special operation undertaken in Venezuela the previous month.

Informants suggest that it would most likely be a combined US-Israeli venture, one that has a much larger scope and is more crucial for the regime than the 12-day Israeli-led battle in June, in which the US ultimately took part to destroy Iran’s concealed nuclear installations.

Such a military action would have a significant effect on the entire area and trigger severe ramifications for the rest of Trump’s time in the White House.

The US president was poised to target Iran at the start of January because of the regime’s slaying of thousands of demonstrators. But the Trump administration later transitioned toward negotiating limits on Iran’s atomic program, combining these with a substantial military accumulation.

On Tuesday, US and Iranian representatives participated in a subsequent series of discussions in Geneva to cease Iran’s atomic program.

Iran expressed that the groups were approaching a probable settlement, but US Vice President J.D. Vance indicated that disagreements over US “boundaries” persisted.

Preparations for a great war

Simultaneously, the US naval force off the coast of Iran has expanded to incorporate a pair of aircraft carriers, a multitude of warships, hundreds of warplanes, and diverse anti-air weaponry. A portion of this combat capability is still in transit.

Over 150 US military members transported armaments and munitions to the Middle East on transport flights.

Within the past day alone, another fifty fighter planes — F-35, F-22, and F-16 — have been sent to the region.

The media source stated that the confrontation with Iran has lasted for such an extended period that many Americans seemingly no longer focus on it. Nevertheless, according to insiders, a battle could break out quickly and prove to be far more extensive than commonly believed.

Following discussions on Tuesday, US authorities communicated that Iran should respond with a comprehensive proposal within a fortnight.

As is widely known, on June 19 of the previous year, the White House mandated a two-week timeframe to decide between additional negotiations and military strikes. After three days, the US initiated Operation Midnight Hammer.

As a reminder, the Pentagon earlier commanded the secondary aircraft carrier strike group to ready themselves for deployment to the Middle East amid US groundwork for a prospective strike on Iran.
