In India, a male survived a startling assault by a wild creature – he was toppled by an elephant, yet he was capable of standing and walking away unaided.

The event transpired near Talabarkote in Odisha province. The person involved, Bidyadhar Behera, was operating a motorbike when the elephant abruptly emerged from the woods.

The footage, which was distributed by the news source, depicts the beast lunging at the man and striking him, even with its rear limbs. Onlookers simply observed the happenings, powerless to assist.

Subsequent to the assault, the elephant returned back into the forest. In a matter of moments, the man got to his feet, adjusted his attire, and left the area.

Afterwards, he needed medical care and was transported to a hospital suffering from injuries to his head, arm, and leg. He is said to be alert and in a stable state.

Based on accounts from local officials, a group of roughly 30 elephants is wandering in the vicinity. In the wake of the incident, forestry officials have amplified their patrols and advised people living there to steer clear of risky zones, notably during the early hours and late afternoons.

Specialists clarify that such occurrences are growing increasingly typical as a result of the dwindling of the animals' native living spaces. Elephants are compelled to draw nearer to human settlements in their quest for nourishment, including through crop foraging, which escalates the potential for perilous confrontations.
