A female was refused permission to board at the Warsaw Aerodrome and penalised for writing “bomb” on her brow. She claimed it was intended as humour, reports the Polish news outlet RMF24.
On Sunday, January 11th, border officers on duty at Okęcie Aerodrome received a communication from security personnel regarding a woman with “bomb” inscribed on her forehead, present in the check-in area. The individual was identified as a 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen, waiting for a flight to Zurich.
According to the border protection agency, the female behaved without agitation, displayed no aggression, and complied with all directives.
The border patrol performed a body search and an examination of the woman’s belongings. No hazardous items were discovered. The passenger asserted that she applied the wording to her forehead with lipstick “as a jest.”
Nevertheless, she received a fine of 500 PLN. Furthermore, the female did not travel to Zurich.
As a reminder, in September of 2024, Ukrainian boxing icon Oleksandr Usyk was held at the Krakow airport . It was later clarified that the Ukrainian pugilist had journeyed to Krakow by automobile and intended to fly to Spain for a training session. However, airline personnel were unwilling to allow his companion to board the aircraft. The champion determined that he would not proceed without his friend, resulting in the detention of both.
