Kosovo citizens and residents were unable to get passports or driving licenses issued for the last two months due to a shortage of materials caused by the ongoing crises.
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Interior, Nora Fetoshi, explained that the situation resulted from acquiring certain supplies but that the authority swerve is dedicated to overcoming the problem as soon as possible.
“Like many other countries, we are also facing difficulties in the supply of materials, difficulties which have been caused by the global crisis arising from the war in Ukraine and the pandemic with COVID-19,” she said.
Fetoshi added that “cases that have an urgent need are being treated with priority.”
The production of government-issued documents is set to restart in January, according to the government.
