Romania’s GDP grew by 1.3% in the third quarter compared with the previous quarter, according to a flash estimate of the country’s statistics institute INS. The statistics institute also revised downwards its figures for the economic growth in the first two quarters. Thus, it now says the GDP grew by 4.4% in the first quarter compared with the fourth quarter of 2021 (down from 6.4% estimated earlier), and by 3.9% in the second quarter (from 5% in previous releases). Compared with the same period in 2021, the economy grew by an estimated 4% in the third quarter of 2022. In the first nine months, the economic growth was 5%, INS also said.
