Poland will deliver more MiG-29 fighter jets, self-propelled mortars, additional missiles, and 200 Polish-produced Rosomak infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), of which half will be delivered soon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

Poland was the first European country to send its Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

“Poland has done everything it promised regarding the tanks: they are already in Ukraine, particularly Leopard tanks. There are new agreements on infantry fighting vehicles – more than 100 vehicles. On armoured personnel carriers – Rosomak – 200 vehicles, 100 now and 100 later,” the Ukrainian president said, as quoted by Ukrainska Prawda.

Earlier this month, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said Ukraine would acquire 100 Polish-made Rosomak armoured personnel carriers from Poland “paid for by European money” and “by American money that has been given to Ukraine, the Polish Press Agency (PAP) reported.

On 6 April, the Polish government representative, Piotr Müller, said that Ukraine had ordered 150 Rosomaks from Poland, to which Zelenskyy confirmed Ukraine’s will to acquire the vehicles during his Wednesday visit to Warsaw without specifying the number.

Ukraine has already praised the Krab self-propelled artillery units it received from Poland. In a Telegram post, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, praised the Krab’s parameters, including speed and shooting range.

Ukrainian soldiers have already shared recommendations related to the Krab’s further development with Polish soldiers.
