The determination to furnish Ukraine with a €90 billion credit has been finalized and will not be reconsidered. Its acceptance is projected in the coming days, relayed Bulgarian National Radio, referencing a contact in Brussels.
As per the informant, this morning, European Council Head Antonio Costa engaged in dialogue with Hungarian Premier Viktor Orban. Within the conversation, he underscored resolutely that Budapest must comply with the resolution formulated by European chiefs last December – with Hungary’s own involvement.
“The credit for Ukraine has been sanctioned and will not be re-evaluated,” the contact highlighted.
An official statement is still pending.
It is anticipated that this week at the European Council gathering, heads will deliberate on several principal subjects concurrently: the conflict in Iran,
aid for Ukraine, the ramifications of elevated energy costs, alongside strategies for reacting to the energy emergency.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will speak to the summit attendees via video conference. UN Chief António Guterres has been summoned to the assembly as well. This is slated to be his final attendance at a European Council session.
