The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, made an announcement on Tuesday about the formation of an analytical unit to probe Poland’s connection to the controversy surrounding the recent disclosure of data related to Jeffrey Epstein’s actions. The head of the government described the situation as “absolutely unprecedented.” Furthermore, he didn’t dismiss the prospect of a distinct inquiry potentially being initiated within Poland at a later time, as reported by Polsat News.

As conveyed by Tusk at the commencement of the governmental session, the choice to establish an analytical unit was reached collaboratively with the Justice Minister, the Attorney General, and the Minister-Coordinator overseeing the Special Services.

“We have resolved to establish an analytical team and, conceivably, initiate an investigation as well should the analysis validate our apprehensions concerning the issue in the United States,” the prime minister stated.

He highlighted that the primary justification for these measures is the necessity of clarifying any Polish links in what Tusk termed “Mr. Epstein’s sinister circle.”

“We are committed to doing everything to ensure that those culpable in this matter, alongside potential victims, witness not solely the efforts of the Polish state, but also, where deemed essential, the provision of reparations for incurred damages. Primarily, to effectively prosecute those who perpetrate such dreadful offenses,” he emphasized.

Tusk underscored the gravity of this matter, especially considering the Polish dimension of the affair. He stated that there have been initial indications of individuals informing Epstein from Krakow that they already possessed “a grouping of Polish women or girls.”

“More of such indications have emerged, thus I will entreat both prosecutors and intelligence agencies to undertake a highly thorough, swift, and conscientious assessment – document by document, of each piece of documentation that is presently available to the public,” the prime minister conveyed.

He supplemented that, should the need arise, Poland will petition the American side to supply documents that haven’t been publicly disclosed but may bear relevance to Polish victims or additional Polish associations.

Tusk designated the second rationale for creating a specialized unit as the imperative to ascertain the conceivable involvement of Russian intelligence agencies.

“There is a burgeoning quantity of substantiation, details, and commentary circulating in global media pertaining to suspicions that this unparalleled pedophilic scheme was jointly orchestrated by Russian intelligence operatives,” he asserted.

According to the prime minister, Epstein seemingly had unrestricted access to considerable financial resources, the origins of which remain uncertain. He also collaborated with numerous young Russian women, who, according to Tusk, engaged in prostitution.

The Prime Minister further mentioned that, as per FBI intelligence, Epstein might have overseen a segment of Vladimir Putin’s assets.

“It is widely known that Epstein meticulously archived all his correspondence, electronic messages, records, in conjunction with visual and auditory recordings. He documented and filmed prominent Western figures – presidents, prime ministers, directors of the globe’s most sizable corporations. An increasing number of analysts and specialists posit that it was most plausibly a premeditated operation by the Russian KGB – the so-termed honey trap, a scheme designed to ensnare the elites of the Western sphere, notably the United States,” Tusk elucidated.

He also did not eliminate the possibility of initiatives geared towards an international investigation.

The US Department of Justice on Friday made public a recent compilation of materials concerning the Epstein case — exceeding three million pages of documentation. These encompass a plethora of renowned individuals.

The Trump administration was obligated to divulge the documents under the Epstein Disclosure Act, though Democrats assert that approximately 2.5 million pages might still be withheld from the populace.

The controversy has already sparked political consequences within Europe: former British minister, European commissioner, and ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson has resigned from the Labour Party. In Slovakia, Prime Minister Robert Fico has acknowledged the resignation of his advisor, former foreign minister Miroslav Lajčák, whose identity likewise featured in the US documents.
