The Netherlands has provided €322 million in military support to Ukraine since the start of the war up until Monday wrote Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren in a letter to parliament on Wednesday.

Additionally, the letter noted that until July, the Netherlands gave approximately €172 million to the European Peace Facility, an off-budget instrument aimed at enhancing the Union’s ability to prevent conflicts, build peace and strengthen international security.

On Wednesday evening, Ollongren said the Netherlands would be providing air defence to Ukraine. “Russia continues its unacceptable attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure. At today’s Ramstein meeting, we agreed to step up to the plate and provide air defence & other much-needed weapon systems. We will help ?? stay successful this winter and be ready for spring,” she tweeted.

Dutch officials went to Ukraine on Tuesday, where Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra and his delegation hid in a bomb shelter for about three hours as air raid sirens went off and missiles destroyed electrical infrastructure in Kyiv.
