According to the LEGO Group website, the LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam factory is the first LEGO facility in Vietnam and the second in Asia.
The company calls the Vietnamese factory the most environmentally friendly of all LEGO factories to date.
The factory will run entirely on renewable energy – the company has 12,400 solar panels on the roofs of its workshops and Vietnam's first large-scale energy storage facility.
Investment in LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam amounted to $1 billion .
The factory , located about 50 km from Ho Chi Minh City , covers 44 hectares ( the size of 62 football fields ) and consists of five buildings with a total area of about 150,000 sq m .
The company now has six operations in different parts of the world: in Denmark, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Mexico, China and Vietnam.
