Anysphere has raised $900 million from investors including venture capital funds Thrive Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Accel.
During the previous round of funding, which took place in January of this year, Anysphere was valued at $2.5 billion. Then the company raised $105 million from investors, including Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz.
The jump in the valuation of the startup, founded in 2022, is due to the rapid growth in its revenue since the previous investment round.
The AI code editor Cursor, developed by Anysphere, has gained millions of fans among programmers who use it to improve their productivity.
Cursor users include IT companies such as Stripe, OpenAI, and Spotify.
