The Chinese president, Xi Jinping, has introduced an extensive strategy for Central Asian advancement, assuming a leading position in a territory historically dominated by the Russian Federation.

Xi conveyed this message during his address at the China-Central Asia conference, according to Reuters.

It is mentioned that China is willing to synchronize its growth policies with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. According to Xi, Beijing will facilitate the advancement of all, enabling these nations to collectively construct “a model of profoundly complementary and mutually advantageous collaboration.”

“This gathering has injected renewed vigor into the progression and revitalization of the six nations and has delivered considerable positive energy towards regional tranquility and steadiness,” stated the Chinese leader.

China has placed itself at the forefront of a competition for political sway and energy resources in this area abundant with raw materials. Simultaneously, Moscow has been concentrating on the conflict in Ukraine. Additionally, the United States has lessened its presence in the region, withdrawing its forces from Afghanistan.

Concurrently, five former Soviet republics with an arrangement of trading paths are presenting China with different courses to convey fuel, sustenance, and other supplies should disturbances arise elsewhere. It is indicated that the assurances of backing and partnership at this conference will stand in contrast to the unfavorable depiction of China at the G7 summit in Japan.

As per Xi Jinping, China and Central Asian nations ought to cultivate reliance and extend “explicit and determined assistance” for fundamental benefits such as sovereignty, independence, national pride, and sustained growth. He declared that Beijing is prepared to assist the former Soviet states in “enhancing their capacities in law enforcement, security, and defense.”

Xi committed that China is prepared to update mutual investment agreements and augment cross-border freight transit with the area, stating this would motivate Chinese-supported businesses in Central Asia to generate additional employment opportunities, establish warehouses, and operate specialized trains intended to foster tourism.

“To reinforce our alliance and the prosperity of Central Asia, China will supply Central Asian nations with a collective sum of 26 billion yuan ($3.8 billion) in monetary assistance and awards,” Xi announced.

Xi remarked that the construction of Line D of the China-Central Asia gas conduit should be expedited. Consequently, he advocated for escalating oil and gas commerce, advancing energy collaboration within industrial frameworks, and intensifying collaboration in innovative energy sources and non-military applications of atomic energy.

In the prolonged perspective, China backs the development of an international transportation route across the Caspian Sea and will intensify the establishment of China-Europe freight train transportation hubs, Xi Jinping stated.

As previously reported, Russian head Vladimir Putin is devising a surprise for China in the Russian Far East.
