“Vladimir Putin should not be trusted”: what the Polish president said to Trump

During a video conference with Donald Trump and European leaders , Polish President Karol Nawrocki stressed that Russia is not adhering to agreements and that Putin should not be trusted, Marcin Przydach, head of the Polish President's Office for International Policy, said.

“Russia does not honor agreements and is capable of deceiving anyone. Vladimir Putin should not be trusted – this has been stated directly,” Przydach added. “The more people whom Donald Trump trusts and whom he in some sense loves, respects and wants to talk to present this reality, the less likely it is that others who impose pro-Russian narratives in the White House will listen.”

Recently, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met in Florida to discuss ending Russia’s war against Ukraine. After the talks, the two leaders held a video conference with European leaders. Poland was represented by President Karol Nawrocki. According to the president’s office, Nawrocki emphasized Poland’s key role in the signing of the peace treaty, in part due to its logistics center near Rzeszów.
