US President Donald Trump called Vice President Jay Dee Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio “the perfect tandem” and “the dream team,” effectively hinting at who he might see among future candidates for the highest positions in the US. He said this during a briefing.

“That doesn't mean I endorse it under any circumstances. But I think it sounds like a presidential candidate and a vice presidential candidate,” Trump said.
As “FACTS” wrote, President Trump recently made a strange joke that he almost “fired” Secretary of State Marco Rubio the other day for his well-received speech at the Munich Security Conference.
During the first meeting of the Peace Council on Gaza Reconstruction, President Trump said that Rubio “did really proud of himself” in Munich.

“In fact, I was so proud that I almost fired him because they said, ‘Why can’t Trump do this?’ I can, but I’m saying it differently. But Marco, please don’t do anything better than what you’ve been doing. Because if you do, you’re out of here,” the US president sarcastically remarked in the presence of Rubio, US officials, and world leaders at the Peace Council.
