
Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel laureate Maria Corina Machado has presented her medal to US President Donald Trump, Reuters reports.
She also said she was impressed by how clearly Trump understands what is happening in Venezuela. Machado adds that he knows the situation and understands the suffering.

In turn, Trump, on the social network Truth Social, called this gift a “gesture of mutual respect,” noting Machado's resilience and calling meeting her “a great honor.”
The American leader called Machado “a wonderful woman who has been through so much.”
