The numbers are significant: it became known how many refugees from Ukraine left Germany

Since 2022, more than 471,000 people who came from Ukraine have left Germany, which has tightened requirements for Ukrainian refugees. Currently, the Central Register of Foreigners, according to the German Ministry of the Interior, records a total of 1.157 million people who left the country due to the Russian attack and received temporary protection, Deutsche Welle reports.

It is known that there are about 484 thousand men and about 672 thousand women. Of these, 85,266 are men aged 18 to 26.

The agency added that it does not expect “a significant decrease in the number of refugees arriving in the EU and Germany” in the near future.

We would like to add that, according to Eurostat, at the end of 2026, 4.35 million Ukrainians received temporary protection status in the European Union. The largest number of Ukrainian refugees was accepted by Germany (1.25 million people, 28.7% of the total number), Poland (969 thousand, 22.3%) and the Czech Republic (393 thousand, 9%). The most significant increase occurred in Germany (+9620), Spain (+2235) and Romania (+2160). At the same time, the number of Ukrainians decreased in some countries: France — by 1250 people, Estonia — by 470, Latvia — by 160, Belgium — by 60 people.
