The chef declassified the menu of Elizabeth II: a simple dish that she has not changed for years

Queen Elizabeth II's former personal chef has shared details of her daily diet and revealed the simple two-ingredient meal she has chosen for years, which he says has helped the Queen stay healthy and fresh-looking even into her advanced years.

According to the Daily Mirror, unlike many Britons who prefer high-calorie, high-carb meals, the Queen opted for light and nutritious meals. Her favorite lunch consisted of fried flounder served with steamed spinach or courgettes.

Chef Darren McGrady, who worked for the royal family, noted that Elizabeth II was never picky about food. She had a practical approach to nutrition: she ate to maintain strength, not for the sake of gastronomic impressions.

Meanwhile, her husband, Prince Philip, was interested in cooking, loved to experiment with flavors and discover new products. The Queen, on the other hand, usually carefully studied the recipe before trying something new, but most often remained faithful to the usual menu.

Over the years at the palace, McGrady also noticed that steak with a whisky-based mushroom sauce or venison dishes would occasionally appear in the diet. However, her constant favorite was a simple combination of fish and vegetables – a light, protein-rich and nutrient-dense meal that also contains important vitamins, including D and B12.

Previously, “FACTS” reported that the late Queen Elizabeth II was a big fan of a simple dessert made of Greek yogurt and ginger cookies, Ginger Nut, which was even called a kind of “cheesecake” in the royal kitchen.
