“I am glad that the world is finally moving towards a diplomatic solution, which the Czech government also supports. It turns out that the only one who can force both sides to negotiate is Donald Trump, who is positioning himself as a 'peace broker,'” said Macinka.

However, according to the head of diplomacy, Trump's patience is not unlimited, so both sides should approach the negotiations constructively.

“Ukraine has made significant concessions in recent days, and now the ball is in Russia's court,” he noted.

According to the diplomat, strong and realistic security guarantees from the West could be an effective alternative for Ukraine to joining NATO. At the same time, they could ensure that Russian aggression does not happen again in the future, he added.

“There is real hope for real peace. US President Donald Trump is relentlessly negotiating to end the conflict in Ukraine, he is striving to achieve this goal. Let's keep our fingers crossed for him that he brings the peace initiative to a successful conclusion and the senseless killings stop,” Vondracek said on the X network.

According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the upcoming peace plan includes American security guarantees for Ukraine for a period of 15 years, writes Reuters. According to him, the Ukrainian president asked Trump for security guarantees for up to 50 years. Zelensky also expressed his opinion in an online interview with journalists that the peace plan should be signed by Ukraine, the United States, Russia and Europe. Trump also discussed the 20-point plan with the Russian dictator.
