
Early this morning, several drones from Russia, which regularly bombs Ukraine, entered Latvian airspace. One of them hit an oil tank in the city of Rezekne, Delfi reports.

The head of the Rēzekne Regional Duma, Guntars Skudra, confirmed that one of the drones fell on the territory of the Rēzekne branch of the East-West Transit company. It hit an empty oil tank.
Residents of Rezekne reported on social media the roar of engines in the sky, sounds similar to an explosion, and flashes of light. Videos of fiery flashes over the city also appeared online.
Deputy Chief of the Latvian State Police Andris Zellis said that two drones were known to have crashed. The location of the second crash is still being determined.

“The fire is localized, there is no threat,” Zellis said.
The State Police has initiated a criminal investigation to clarify all the circumstances.
As “FACTS” wrote, recently the foreign ministers of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania responded to accusations from Moscow that their territories and airspace are allegedly being used for drone attacks on targets in Russia.
