Russia has turned to the US and Israel with a harsh demand to stop strikes on Iran

During an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, convened due to strikes by the US and Israeli armies on Iran, the Russians, who are actively importing weapons from this country to continue the war in Ukraine, called the start of the operation “reckless” and demanded an immediate ceasefire.

Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzia, as reported by korrespondent.net, called the military operation in Iran “aimed at eliminating a state inconvenient for the West,” adding that “the escalation around Iran threatens nuclear and radiological security.” Nebenzia mentioned the recent US negotiations with Iran and added that official Terehan was “stabbed in the back,” despite his readiness for diplomatic negotiations.

The Russian Federation demands that the United States and Israel “immediately cease their actions” and insists on “resuming efforts based on mutual respect and a balance of interests.” At the same time, Moscow expresses its readiness to “provide all necessary assistance.”

China supported the Russian position, however, most members of the UN Security Council recalled that it is Iranian weapons and Russian aggression that remain key factors in the destabilization of the world order.
