Russia officially supports Tehran, considering the actions of Western countries in the conflict in the Middle East “unjust.”
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian thanked Russian dictator Putin in Russian for “inspiration in the war” with the United States.
“President Putin's statements and the support of the Russian people inspire us in this war. The resistance and courage of the Iranian people promise new ties that will ensure the security of East Asia with the countries of the region. On behalf of the people of Iran, I thank the government and people of Russia,” his statement said.

“We have had close cooperation in the past, which continues to this day, and this also includes military cooperation,” he said.
Previously, Moscow and Tehran tried to hide military cooperation. But the media wrote that Russia transfers intelligence to Iran about the location of American military facilities, including ships and aircraft. Iran uses this data for precision strikes on command posts, radars and other US infrastructure.
As is known, the conflict in the Middle East has played into the Kremlin's hands. Putin wants to continue the war in Ukraine and has ordered the oligarchs to finance what he calls “his own.”
