“Putin doesn't want peace, but enslavement”: Germany calls for greater support for Kyiv

Green Party leader Franziska Brantner has called on the German government to take action in light of the trilateral talks on Ukraine and the simultaneous Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. “Russian President Vladimir Putin does not want peace, he wants enslavement,” Brantner told reporters. “Those who deprive people of warmth in winter are waging war not against soldiers, but against families, the elderly and children.”

She accused Putin of war crimes. The Green Party leader also said that attacks on civilian targets and infrastructure in Ukraine are not collateral damage, but a deliberate move.

“Ukraine was therefore justified in appealing for further air defense support. The German government should now consider, together with its European partners, who can supply additional defense systems. The government should also explore the extent to which European countries can contribute on their own,” she added.

We would like to add that the other day the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine shared footage of the consequences of the Russian attacks and talked about the challenges they had to face. Workers note that in recent days the weather has been the most hindering work – frost and dampness. Sometimes the work is delayed until late at night, and despite this, the restoration process does not stop.
