Donald Trump does not hide that one of his political dreams is to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Knesset Speaker Amir Ochanna and US House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson sent a special letter to the heads of parliaments of many countries, urging them to support Trump's candidacy. Although last year the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to a Venezuelan opposition activist, which outraged the White House (she recently donated her medal to Trump), the signing of the nomination by government representatives would increase the US president's chances of receiving the award in 2026, Polsatnews writes.

When Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski was asked about this, he said he would support Trump's efforts if he ended the war in Ukraine.
“If President Trump achieves a just peace for Ukraine, I will also sign such a nomination, because I have the right to do so,” Sikorsky said while in Luxembourg.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg also expressed a similar opinion.

“Russian attacks and bombing of Ukraine continue, but we can create a support committee if we manage to resolve the issue of ending the war,” the politician said.
As a reminder, the Norwegian Nobel Committee is stunned that the Peace Prize medal went to Trump, and European politicians called the US president “pathetic.”
