Drones attacked one of the largest Russian refineries in Ryazan (photo, video)

On the night of May 15, drones attacked a local refinery in Ryazan, which had previously been targeted by the SOU. The enterprise is considered one of the largest in Russia.

This is reported by the ASTRA channel's osinters, who analyzed the photos taken by local residents. The Ryazan Oil Refinery (RNPZ) is part of the structure of PJSC Rosneft. It is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Russian Federation with a capacity of about 17 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces all grades of automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, liquefied gases, bitumen and petrochemical raw materials.

The attack was confirmed by local governor Pavel Malkov. According to him, “air defense was working, several residential buildings were damaged by debris, as well as the territory of one of the enterprises.” He later clarified that three people were killed in Ryazan, another 12 were injured. Osinters established that the buildings of the Tricolor residential complex were damaged.

The Ryazan enterprise has four primary oil refining units, as well as equipment for vacuum gas oil hydrotreating, cracking, catalytic reforming, and other complexes.

Osinters also write about the arrivals in Yeisk, Russia, where something was smoking in the area of the military airfield – the 859th Center for Combat Application and Retraining of Naval Aviation Flight Personnel of the Russian Navy is stationed there. ASTRA specifies that the airbase houses a unique ground-based test training complex NITKA, which is used for training takeoff and landing of carrier-based aircraft.

An air alert was also sounded in the Bryansk region. And the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the “interception and destruction” of 38 UAVs over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Rostov regions and over the Russian-occupied Crimea.
