Victoria and David Beckham are very grateful to Marc Anthony for coming to their defense after Brooklyn Beckham made several allegations against his parents. An insider said that the fashion designer and former footballer spoke to Marc after he publicly discussed the situation. A source close to the Beckhams claimed that the couple told the singer that his words brought them comfort, writes The News.

After Brooklyn accused his parents of controlling his life and Victoria interfering in his first dance with Nicola Peltz at their wedding, Mark said: “I have nothing to say about what's going on with the family. They're a wonderful, wonderful family. I've known them since before the kids were born. I'm Cruise's godfather. I'm very close to the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there. It's very unfortunate how things are going. But the way things are going is hardly the truth.”
The insider said that while Victoria and David “hate that Mark was dragged into this,” they are grateful that he spoke out in their support.
“He's a longtime family friend. He didn't deserve to be dragged into a very personal feud,” the insider said, adding that “they felt vindicated. Not because Mark attacked anyone with accusations, but because he made people stop.”
