Ukrainian specialists have been deployed overseas for several weeks, reinforcing the defense framework in the United Arab Emirates. Initial outcomes are already evident.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Our shared aspiration with our allies is enhanced security. Currently, Ukraine not only requires assistance but is also poised to support those who are supportive of us,” the head of state underscored.
According to his statement, over the recent weeks, Ukrainian specialists have conducted meetings with representatives from the UAE Security and Defense Forces. The specialists are focused on boosting defenses against aerial hazards.
“There is already a distinct comprehension of how to fortify the system for shielding the airspace and vital infrastructure in the Emirates through the incorporation of Ukrainian proficiency. These are inclusive solutions that have demonstrated their efficacy,” Zelensky appended.
Ukraine's assistance to the Middle East
The United States has requested Ukraine to defend its installations in the Middle East from unmanned aerial vehicles. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait have also solicited aid.
The President conveyed that approximately 210-220 Ukrainian air defense experts have been situated in the Middle East for an extended duration. Namely, they operate in Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. They offer guidance on countering extensive drone incursions.
Furthermore, Zelensky proclaimed an accord with Saudi Arabia concerning defense collaboration. In accordance with him, Kyiv and Riyadh are uniting endeavors against mutual menaces. Particularly, drone assaults and ballistics.
