Zelensky and his wife arrived in the UAE on an official visit
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, along with First Lady Olena Zelenska, have landed in the UAE for a formal visit.
The president revealed this information on his social media accounts.
“The main goal is to ensure the repatriation of more of our citizens from captivity. Additionally, we will focus on investments and financial collaboration, as well as a significant aid initiative,” stated Zelenskyy.
He hasn’t shared further specifics yet. Zelensky refrained from clarifying if this journey is connected to the forthcoming negotiation discussions in neighboring Saudi Arabia.
It’s worth noting that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff are scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia on February 16 for deliberations concerning the war in Ukraine.
As per Rubio, the coming days will demonstrate the sincerity of Vladimir Putin regarding a peaceful resolution.
The Ukrainian governmental representatives have also initiated a working visit to Saudi Arabia.
