A significant agreement was formalized today by representatives from Ukraine and the UAE. Consequently, 99% of Ukrainian goods will be admitted to the Emirates market without tariffs.
This declaration was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his formal visit to the UAE.
“An agreement was signed while we were present, concisely termed, or shortened to, SIP, denoting economic partnership. And it genuinely embodies a relaxation of commerce, economic facets, and diverse aspects of the bond between our nations,” he articulated.
The head of state further noted that presently, it will represent the most lenient two-sided agreement for Ukraine, due to the fact that 99% of all merchandise and commodities from Ukraine will gain entry to the Emirates market exempt from duties.
“This carries great weight, and absolute prohibitions are absent; there could be constraints on particular items regarding their share, but to reiterate, without duties. This is a weighty agreement,” the Ukrainian president highlighted.
It had been earlier announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is slated to conduct a formal journey to Turkey on February 18. There, the Ukrainian head of state is scheduled to convene with the nation's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
