LIV Golf signs multi-year broadcast deal with DAZN

  • Agreement with streaming site DAZN will allow its golf events to be broadcast in more than 200 countries
  • LIV has also already struck a deal with Fox Sports to air the 2025 season in the US.

LONDON: LIV Golf announced on Friday it has entered into a multi-year exclusive deal with streaming site DAZN to show its events outside the US.
The originally Saudi-backed breakaway tournament struggled with television contracts during its inaugural season in 2022, briefly showing tournaments for free on YouTube.
However, LIV has already struck a deal with Fox Sports to show the 2025 season in the US.
DAZN will broadcast the LIV tour live in “more than 200 markets,” including Canada, Germany, France, Italy and Japan.
“DAZN’s cutting-edge technology and unrivaled scale provide LIV Golf with a significant platform to engage a truly global audience,” said LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neill.
British streaming service DAZN also recently secured exclusive global rights to broadcast the expanded FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States in June and July.
LIV Golf is in talks with the PGA Tour about a possible reunification of the game from 2023.
Earlier this week, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said US President Donald Trump's intervention in the talks had “significantly boosted” hopes of reaching an agreement, but acknowledged some hurdles still remained.
