American Central Command forces have conducted attacks on Islamic State objectives in Syria.
This information was shared by the media department of the US command via the X social media platform.
The engagements occurred around 12:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, equating to 8:30 p.m. Kyiv local time. As stated by the military officials, the assaults impacted ISIS objectives spread across several areas in Syria.
The United States Central Command explained that these actions are being carried out as a component of Operation Hawkeye Strike, officially initiated on December 19, 2025, at the direction of the American President Donald Trump.
“This operation represents a specific reaction to the lethal ISIS assault targeting both American and Syrian military members near Palmyra on December 13, 2025,” stated the command in an official release.
Prior to this, Fox News had documented attacks against ISIS strongholds in Syria, quoting their own informants.
It had been previously announced that British and French combat aircraft had attacked the clandestine infrastructure of the Islamic State (ISIS) militant organization.
Earlier coverage indicated that the US had commenced Operation Hawk Strike within Syria, with the purpose of eliminating ISIS combatants, their installations, storage sites, and supply lines.
