It was recently reported that a tourist yacht sank off the coast of Egypt.
According to available information, there were 45 people on board the ship: 31 tourists and 14 crew members.
According to the TUT NOVOSTI portal, the yacht was wrecked in the Red Sea off the coast of Marsa El Alam.
It is known that rescuers have now located and brought to shore some of the citizens on board.
There is no information yet on the exact number of people rescued. There is also no information about the nationalities of the yacht's crew.
Local authorities, according to media reports, have taken the situation under special control and are directly leading the rescue operation.
The yacht set sail last Sunday, November 24th. Five days later, on the 29th, it was scheduled to arrive in Hurghada.
On Monday, November 25, at about half past five in the morning (about 06:30 Belarusian time), the ship sent out a distress signal.
Experts are currently investigating the causes and circumstances of the crash.
